Matthew F. Nevitt, M.D.
Dr. Nevitt specializes in disorders of the hand and upper extremity. He treats fractures, sports injuries, arthritis, congenital deformities, nerve injuries, vascular injuries, and complex wounds. His practice includes arthroscopy of the upper extremity, joint replacement, and reconstructive microsurgery. He performs endoscopic carpal tunnel release surgery and offers office procedures to manage Dupuytren's contractures and trigger fingers. He sees patients at Medical City Dallas, Baylor Medical Pavilion, Baylor Medical Centers at Frisco and Plano.
Dr. Nevitt is a Dallas native. He graduated from Cistercian Preparatory School as valedictorian and then attended Austin College where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude with a BA degree with honors in Spanish. After receiving his medical degree from UT Southwestern, he moved to Memphis where he completed his orthopaedic residency at the Campbell Clinic, founded in 1909 and home of Campbell's Operative Orthopaedics. He then returned to Texas where he finished his fellowship training at the Hand Center of San Antonio under Dr. David Green, author and editor of Green's Operative Hand Surgery.
Dr. Nevitt is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a candidate for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
Dr. Nevitt is married and has two sons and a daughter. His wife is a graduate of Ursuline Academy and SMU Dedman School of Law. He is a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Location(s)Baylor Medical Center at Plano
