Valerie Beard is a certified physician assistant licensed in the state of Texas. She has been in practice for 25 years, assisting in surgery and clinical evaluations, in several areas of Orthopedics. She works exclusively with Dr. Christian Royer and Dr. Veerabhadra Reddy who specialize in Disorders of the Foot and Ankle. She practices out of both our Baylor and Medical City offices. Valerie received her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Science and her Physician Assistant Certificate from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas in 1985. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and a member of, both, The Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and The American Academy of Physician Assistants. As a Physician Assistant, Valerie can provide medical care that would otherwise be provided by physicians. For example, she can assist in surgery, perform history and physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret laboratory tests, perform minor surgery and prescribe medications.
